Before founding Intera, Jim was Managing Director of Institutional Sales at RBC Global Asset Management, where he built and managed a national bank and insurance asset management practice, including developing and funding several Insurance Dedicated Funds.
Before RBC, Jim served as CFO of Marquette Bank Minneapolis during a time of significant merger and acquisition work. He focused on improving both the net interest margins and the core performance of the Bank. He oversaw the Bank's regional bond sales and trading business and their multi-office retail brokerage business.
Jim started his professional career as a CPA after earning his bachelor's degree in Finance from Gustavus Adolphus College.
Jim serves on the Gustavus Endowment Investment Committee and the Children’s Home Society Investment Endowment Committee.

Todd led Allianz to be one of the most capital-efficient asset allocators in its space. His broad-based expertise spans strategic planning, insurance, fixed income, investments, contract negotiation, P&L management, portfolio management, risk assessment, business development, economic asset management, fiduciary oversight, and governance. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and holds the LOMA FLMI designation, further enhancing his professional profile.
In 2021, Todd was named CIO of the Year by Insurance Asset Risk, during which time he was the CEO of Allianz Investment Management and also served as the CIO for Allianz Life Insurance Co. N.A. In these roles, he oversaw assets in excess of $180B and was part of the executive team that managed over $800B of assets for Allianz on a worldwide basis. Before his tenure at Allianz, Todd contributed his expertise to Cargill, EBF & Associates and Ameriprise.

Paul’s substantial history in the financial services industry includes leading Mergers and Acquisitions for a major fintech company and serving as President and CEO for a financial institution where he developed and led a large-scale turn-around, ultimately executing a business plan that grew company assets from $100 million to $1.4 billion and expanded capital from 5% to 14% of assets, while increasing the customer base by nearly 300%.
A U.S. military veteran, dedicated volunteer, and community leader, Paul served in leadership positions on multiple boards and committees, helping to direct, organize, and fundraise numerous non-profit and community efforts while supporting local, state, and national trade association committees and commissions.

In June, another generous community of friends and colleagues came together to help raise $6,600 for the Children’s Education Program at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
Through a dedicated learning center and community outreach program, the Arboretum provides children with fun, hands-on learning experiences, and K-6 science-based school programs.
This donation was particularly significant for Bill Laing, our Tournament Champion, who lost his wife to cancer in 2008. The Arboretum was a favorite place for her and holds countless memories for Bill. It was a privilege to present the donation, alongside Bill, to the Children's Education Program and its remarkable team.

Our 2023 Benefit Bass Fishing Tournament put the spotlight on Lake Minnetonka and the quest to bring in the biggest bass, but the biggest winner of the day was HFS Chicago Scholars, the recipient of Brian Gallagher's grand prize.
